最近ではDouble Topレーベルからのカバーもリリースされた大定番クラシック"Slow Flow"を含むベスト的な一枚!!
Charlieの作品などでおなじみ、UKのDouble TopレーベルからリリースされたSunrise Sound Systemによるカバーも話題の"Slow Flow"!! 今回は、そのオリジナル・パフォーマーとなる、Toni Braxtonの妹3人によるグループ、The Braxtonsの"Slow Flow"を含む一枚が登場です!!! UK盤でしかリリースされなかった曲ですが、特に日本での人気は凄まじく、多数のDJの使用で90's R&Bクラシックと化したコノ曲。イントロやブレイク部分で良いアクセントとなったスクラッチや、ツボを得たドラムプログラミングなど、トラックの素晴らしさもさることながら、やはり何といってもメロディの展開や卓越したヴォーカル・ワークこそが素晴らしい大傑作です!! さらに、Redman "Can't Wait"と同ネタ使いで話題となったA2.、「絵に描いたような」ハッピー・ミッドダンサーA3.、今回がアナログ初登場でA3.と同路線のB1.、Masters At Workによるアッパーなハウス・トラックで大ヒットしたDiana RossのカバーB2.の計5曲を収録です!! |
